The family of Kelps are heroic seaweeds across the world. Also known as Kombu in the east, Kelp is rich in iodine and belongs to the brown algae family (Phaeophyceae). It is fast growing and common across Dorset. We hand harvest kelp from very clean waters that are protected by environmental initiatives.

Kelp adds a sense of umami deliciousness to broths and soups. It pairs extremely well with fish dishes as you can imagine. All you need to do is search kelp recipes on the internet and you'll find plenty of inspiration. It can be baked to make crisps, ground up into a powder or used as lasagne sheets. Possibilities are endless.
