Harvesting

Rockpool and the seaweed harvesters.

Ever wondered what the rockpool eye sees, or doesn't see for that fact, but pick up on in terms of disturbances. You can see from the images that the environment can be tumultuous at times, and our hands with scissor strokes may seem only to add to the tumult. However we know that when summer comes, the greens can be fast growers as long as the sun does not bleach them too badly under intense UV damage. This rockpool world we cohabit for a short time is a treasure trove of life. We nearly always find sea snails, limpets, isopods, little prawns, anemones and other little lads & ladies. Léna and I have found that the more we see from other vantage points and environments, the more we come to appreciate the footprints left by our own presence. It is also an exercise of being present and grateful for what we take.
